Studio III: Site
In the previous studios you have mainly focussed on how the internal resistances of a design problem, such as material constraints or programmatic forces, can inform and drive a design concept, a working method, and an architectural proposal. In this studio we will approach the problem from a different direction and with a different emphasis. We will explore how context itself, or site matters, can be defined and represented, can drive a way of conceptualizing an architectural proposal, and can inform a way of working.
